The downtown has more than 60 historic buildings now struggling for revival. LTD Unlimited planning team is in action making a historic move to rethink and restart economic growth in Salem by focusing on 3 of these buildings now in disrepair adding to a distressed vacant downtown reality. LTD through NJEDA funding in cooperation with the City of Salem, endeavors to ascertain the feasibility of activating the following under-utilized city owned public assets for the benefit of the Salem community and regional economy: 142-144 W. Broadway, Salem, NJ 148 W. Broadway, Salem, NJ 113 Market Street, Salem, NJ. The City of Salem recognizes the value of the efforts that will be undertaken to create an innovate use of these distressed properties. Our team believes the activation of said properties will help drive economic growth and equity.


the visioning process.
As part of the plan, LTD will engage the community to participate in the visioning process which includes:

one-on-one meetings and interviews
focus group sessions
contractor and official walk-thrus and discussions
compilations from a community survey
preparing and conducting a shared vision discussion
​
The final report will be accessible on or by January 2024.
